If you have never ridden a motorbike previously or have little confidence on 2 wheeled vehicles, then an ITM is for you.

 

An ITM is a 2 hour, relaxed lesson and is conducted completely off road. It is designed to build your confidence in basic machine control, before attempting a CBT course (Compulsory Basic Training).

 

You will complete the session with no more than 3 other students with you and the instructor. We will focus on building your skills and confidence levels without the pressure of a pass or fail situation at the end. This course can help increase your chances of completing your CBT on the first attempt.

 

We offer ITM courses on automatic and manual bikes. At the end of the session your instructor will give you an honest debrief and discuss with you what steps you should take next.

 

Please note, if you have never ridden a bicycle and have no balance, then even this course might be challenging - particularly if you wish to learn on a geared bike. We would recommend considering learning to ride a bicycle before starting your motorcycling journey, booking an automatic ITM or booking a 121 session with an instructor. Necessary information:

 

We recommend you bringing your OWN legal motorcycle safety helmet. 

If you don't we will lend you one on the day but you must call us to reserve you a helmet at least 24 hours in advance of your course.

 

YOU MUST bring you own motorcycle gloves & be dressed appropriately for riding a motorcycle on public roads as well as the weather conditions.

If you do not have your own gear, there is a fully stocked motorcycle clothing & accessories shop (XPF Moto) at our main office location, where you can purchase your riding equipment. If you need to purchase equipment on the day please allow plenty of time to do so as our office and training site are not at the same location.
