CBT training and testing underway in the county of Anglesey

Find motorcycle CBT training in Anglesey

If you are hoping to take motorcycle CBT training in Anglesey then this website will help you. You can find everything you need to find suitable CBT training close to you. You can also find training in Llangefni, Holyhead and Benllech.

How long does a CBT Test Take?

A CBT test can normally be completed in a day, but may take longer if you need more time to master the control of the motorcycle or moped. Knowing how to ride a bicycle will really help, so if you have not ridden one for a while it's a good thing to do before you take your CBT.

If you do not complete your CBT to the instructors satisfaction then you will be asked to come back on another day for additional training. If this happens do not be alarmed or upset, some people take longer to master control of a two wheeled vehicle than others, but we all get there in the end. The most important thing to remember is its for your safety. Your instructor will be thinking of your safety if they ask you to come back for additional training.

When were CBTs introduced?

CBT tests were introduced at the tail-end of 1990 and stands for Compulsory Basic Training. The thinking behind them was to try and reduce the number of motorcycle and moped accidents. Not only this, but it helps in giving people of all different ages a better basic understanding relating how to best control a two-wheeled machine.

Is a CBT certificate valid for 2 years?

Once you have completed your CBT training in Anglesey your certificate will be valid for 2 years. If you carry on with your training and take a full motorcycle test then you will no longer need to renew your CBT. If you dont then you will need to retake your CBT every 2 years. This re-take is called an experienced CBT and some motorcycle training schools will list this as a separate course with different pricing. So if you are booking a CBT for the first time then make sure you book the right one.
