About Lothian Motorcycle Training
Lothian Motorcycle Training uses full-time professional DSA qualified instructors for all of its courses.
Lothian Motorcycle Training is West Lothians only motorcycle training school. We are a family run Motorcycle Training School, that offer complete training courses from CBT to Direct Access and Advanced riding, with friendly and expert tuition.
Joe Jr. is LMT's senior instructor and is a DSA accredited CBT and DAS instructor. He holds a RoSPA Gold at advanced level.
Mark is a DSA accredited CBT and DAS instructor and has worked with LMT for several years.
All of our instructors have completed RoSPA, IAM and NAAMI training, have a wealth of experience as riders and as instructors, and are extremely passionate about motorcycling.
Whatever fuels your passion or desire to ride motorcycles, whether it be commuting, touring, classics, customs, sports or simply for weekend pleasure - LMT offer a range of varied and comprehensive courses to train you in the essential aspects of safe motorcycle riding with professional tuition and riding skills taught by DSA qualified instructors.
We offer a friendly and quality service tailored to meet your requirements whether it be CBT (Compulsory Basic Training), Direct Access or even a refresher course for a return to 'biking' for those riders that have been out of practice for whatever reason.
We also offer Gift Vouchers. Must be used within 6 months. Non-transferable

Aspects we cover in our motorcycle training programmes include - motorcycle safety checks, brake, throttle, gear and clutch control, correct riding procedures, lifesavers, hill starts, emergency stopping, U-turns, hazard perception, defensive riding, scanning, zones of vision and emerging from junctions. All of these are with an emphasis on your safety which makes motorcycling the pleasure and thrill that it should be.
